The Blog Post That Generates The Same Amount of Traffic As My Home Page

I want to share with you something that I'm very proud of. But first, we have to travel back in time to June 30th, 2020.

On this date I shared a blog about connecting Mailchimp to Squarespace. The email marketing program and the website builder program unfortunately have a small piece missing when it comes to connecting them. I figured out a work-around and shared it online. It was one of my first blog posts.

At the time, I was not sure what to write about so I just shared a part of my week (this is your sign to write about literally anything).

Ok now let's get to the cool part...

This blog post from 2020 actually generated the same number of visits to my website as my home page did.

To put this into perspective, I share my home page everywhere. I'm actively promoting it all over the place. But I never talk about this blog post. That traffic is 100% organic.

That's the beauty of a blog... It generates traffic for you.

Next week I'll address the most common misconception of blogging and how it gains traffic through SEO.
